Dutch National Action Plan 1325:

Rights for Change is one of the over 40 civil society organisations that joined Dutch government bodies to sign the Second Dutch National Action Plan 1325 (2012-2015). The Dutch National Action Plan aims to implement the United Nations resolution 1325 on Peace, security and Women. The goal of the NAP 1325 is to ensure that all the signing partners support women around the world who are working to create peace and security.

On the 11th of December a big event: "Women In War zones; Peace lords for change" took place to discuss the current state of affairs on NAP 1325.
Speakers included Elise Kant, the chairperson of the Wo=men Civil society NAP working group. Colonel Rietdijk of the ministry of defence about working in Afghanistan, And Dutch parliamentarians Angelien Eijsink (PvdA), Sjoerd Sjoerdsma (D66) and Bram van Ojik (GroenLinks) about the role of the Netherlands in strengthening the voices of women in peace processes.
Over 250 people attended the event.
